Laughton Festival Programme

A series of events presented between the 4th and 12th of June, 2011.

The Festival Week takes place from 4th to 12th June.  With over twenty events arranged, we believe there will be something for everyone.  The complete programme will be included in the May Parish Magazine. Most of the events will be ‘entrance at the door’.  However, tickets for the following events will need to be bought in advance.

On Saturday 4th June, we have the big band sound of Swingshift.  This will be a wonderful opportunity to hear this exceptional band perform locally.  Tickets will be available from Laughton, Deanland and Ripe Stores.

On Thursday 9th, there will be a Yarn Workshop in Laughton Village Hall, 10.30am to 3.30pm.  This will cover small loom weaving with hand held looms, free form crochet and needle felting.  So why not try your hand at a new craft.  For booking, please telephone Maureen Raven-Smith on 01323 811286.

Finally, on Saturday 9th June, Graham Gough, of Marchant’s Hardy Plants, will be giving a talk entitled ‘Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud’.  Come and hear how it is possible to conquer gardening on clay from a man who has!  Tickets available from Laughton Stores, Ripe Stores and Marchant’s Hardy Plants, Mill Road, Laughton.

Funds raised during the Festival will be shared between the Village Hall and the Parish Church.
